im sure im not the only person who thinks that csi:ny is actually very well-written - why hasnt it won the awards csi and csi:miami have? gary sinise is probably the most engaging and likeable chief among the three heads.

and im sure im not the only person who thinks that [red thread] has a horrendous script - this is what happens when you try to make a singaporean drama and force them to speak very standard english; no one sounds authentic anymore. as with [the ultimatum], while the story might be good, i cnt bring myself to continue watching it.

and i do think the AYG does look quite exciting sometimes - the winner from pole vault boys - HIBASA SHO (JPN) - very cute. haha. i wonder if i can find a picture of him - but it seems like hes not on japanese news or anything yet. and like the commentator said, he was the crowd favourite as well. i enjoyed watching him jump, actually. and im also waiting for swimming, bowling and basketball 3-on-3 to start =D

this makes me anxious for YOG to start too - how exciting! and with SEA games to come at the end of this year - woohoo, im a happy camper.

Mariners vs Yankees series up soon - ESPN IS EFFING SHOWING one game on FRIDAY 7AM.. oh IM SO GOING TO WATCH - i think its the last game in the series. oh my god, im taking back all the curses ive hurled at espn for not showing the mariners' games. yippee! 3rd july - if you're my friend, you're so watching it - either 7am or 3pm on the repeat! haha.

I have been going to blogger.com and loading this text page to type a blog entry, but ive never managed to finish an entry at all. damn. been busy like anything, between Bee's stuff, LMS Club and NYSFOC, Ive got lots of things on hand. ahh! back to school three days in a row, goodness what am i doing with my hols! but i do like that we have a new building now, and its up and running. the toilets are pretty, though the profs' rooms were a bit small, and rather squeezy, heh. but KK's room is nearby now, and we can say hellos! KK fan club, anyone? hahaa.

And i know i was going to talk about something - but i cnt remember what! Oh yes, BB CREAM. i finally bough one to test all the hype about it. you know, seriously i do feel i can get the same coverage on a bottle of Laneige dual foundation, and i am a little skeptical about the healing properties of the bb cream; i got the Dr.G one from SASA when it was on sale.

things i loved about the cream were that yah, it did make my face look flawless, but it didnt really keep oil in check for long hours, my face became oily in about 2, 3 hours. maybe its because im an OILY person by nature =( (though every beauty consultant i meet says i have combination/not v oily skin); or maybe its because i was walking around in the horrible singapore heat for about 1/4 of that time.

dy's stuck in camp due to H1N1, sigh. hope its gg to be fine, got 11 cases liao. =(

kok aun just bought a 1,200 dollar tissot watch; i am speechless. it was kind of coincidental that i happened to be in city hall when he called to ask me to go see the watch. whats up with guys and watches? (in the case of Sherman, its shoes and bags) we're gg to Oomphatico's on 2 july, qii, you wanna join? i called aun along cause he wants to meet ah marc too. =)

and i need to sleep early, cause must go school early tmr. so geeky.

okay, obviously someone beat me to /velda, so i got facebook.com/veldakhoo, which is totally fine for me; initially i thought even that got taken away.. but i dont think there are many velda khoos in this world. and i know for a fact im the only velda in the yog volunteer list - haha all 10,000 plus of people in it.

overnight at siyi's house ytd, xinying and i always eat too much when we're over there. but its a comfortable house, so thats probably why. had lunch at cafebiz at trader's - have been wondering whats the hype with their buffet, but it was extensive, and we enjoyed ourselves, hehe. there was this cute little japanese boy walking around with his plate with only two pieces of honeydew; everytime i see him its two pieces of honeydew.

and i met ah marc! so happy, we were walking into tanglin mall past oomphatico's, and i was just commenting on how ive been wanting to dine in there, when ah marc walked out of the restaurant's doors. he and ricky are working there now, and he made me promise to eat there one day. well, seeing that ive been planning a trip there already anyways, i readily agreed. such a coincidence.. must make wish. haha.

we got guitar herooo from qisahn! so happy, xy and i fixed it up in siyi's house, and jammed till 6pm. i need to get better at the guitar, super fun and addictive i think. haha. jon was a hero here, he totally directed us where to go so we'd get it at a cheaper rate as compared to the bloodsuckers in tanglin mall.

and i need to do work now. sighh.

im busy. like really. too much stuff to process, and what am i doing going to school two, three days a week. no life lahh! and im broke, because i have been spending like nobody's business. naughty naughty. and i just booked myself for a real mani/pedi treat at pink parlour. need some care on my hands and feet! always wanted to try a real long treatment rather than the rushed express stuff all the time because i tend to decide to do those on the spur of the moment. so i thought maybe this time round ill try to enjoy one for a change. not that my nails are long enough to speak of. anyway, the deal is by honeycombers, for the first 100 people who book and mention honeycombers.

siyi's planning a trip to HK, and im tasked with planning it, great. one more thing to do during the holiday. haha. but i do want to go and do some shopping. and i want to go macau for veryyy long le. they just opened a katespade boutique in macau, how's tt! haha.

i came across the name of Jason Isaacs twice today, when in the past ive never really known who he was. jason isaacs plays lucius malfoy in the harry potter series, and while he looks absolutely devious and deliciously cold and wicked in the movies with that blond wig, he looks reallly good without it. and he does have the bluest eyes ive ever seen. AND he's british. how'd you beat that!



and seriously, he doesnt look at all like lucius malfoy without the wig. i think im a little weird, no? when everyone is in love with tom felton and how good he looks as draco, i do think jason isaacs and alan rickman are the sexy people in HP. evil lucius and snape, heheh.

of course oliver wood sean biggerstaff is the best with his scottish accent. haha! all this in anticipation of HBP coming soon soon soon!

曲:Louie Louie - The Kingsmen

The class schedule is out, and im thinking that perhaps for next sem, ill do just five modules instead of the six ive been doing for the previous two sems. 3 linguistics ones: morphosyntax, semanticspragmatics and discourse; continue with PA, and french3. i do seriously think anything else will kill me, so that should be fine. this gives me a THREE day week, thank god! tues-thurs, love it. =) we'll see what happens come course registration day bah.

one thing that makes my day when i wake up in the morning is checking my email, and finding out that my favourite baseball team has won. they play in the afternoons and evenings in the US, and so the notification emails come in at either 1pm here or 5am in the morning. if they lost i wouldnt bother going to the website, as it would just make me unhappy. >_< but once i find out they had won, i would just go on to mariners.com and watch and rewatch the video highlights. its sad that these games are not shown on espn here, but i guess even if they did no one in singapore would bother watching the games. espn doesnt bother showing anything except yankees and maybe sometimes the dodgers and the giants. but i love watching the mariners play, really. they might not have the best winning percentages, but its so fun watching everyone in the team.


RF | my favouritest (!) player/athlete/sportsperson in the world - ichiro suzuki. his dedication, his love for the sport, his respect, his straightforwardness, his ability.. every movement he makes on the field has a meaning or a purpose, and his game is beautiful to watch. =)


2B | jose lopez is just cute; love his smile everytime he watches a teammate hit a home run, or score a run. he's just super cute lah.


3B | i loved adrian beltre ever since i started watching the mariners play; he's super good, and he's the other player i feel the Ms can depend on. together with yuni and johjima and hernandez and everyone else i didnt mention. haha.


go mariners, you can and WILL make it to playoffs. =) one of the dreams i have is to be able to go to safeco field and watch a mariners game, hopefully before the people that i love watching on this team leave. i need to get to seattle!

i loved this song, first got to listen to it, i think a couple of years back. typical soppy love song style, but because it's in bahasa, it kind of gives the song a quiet desperation kind of feel. i have no idea what it means, though, but it is a beautiful song.

was at jess' place playing guitar hero (!!) and watching her pack her stuff at the same time; cmi, her amount of foodstuff is more than the clothes she's bringing back to oz, its kind of amazing. she was going on and on about how paiseh it will be if the customs officer opens up her luggage in front of everybody. its like 20kg of food! okay lah, half of the food isnt for her, but its kind of freaky. haha.

recently i was looking online for stuff on darvish yu, supposedly japan's new baseball darling after the good ones left for the majors, eg matsuzaka and uehara. i heard about him a few years back, when he was only 18 or 19, now he's 22 (gasp!) and pitched for japan in the world baseball classic in march. PLUS he's iranian-japanese mix, so add bonus points. the fact that he's married to saeko kind of fits too, i guess. but i think his rep in japan is kind of not the best, not v ichiro-ish, more of young and reckless, maybe? but when i first heard about him years back, he wasnt that good looking, haha, i thought wada tsuyoshi was cuter, though that was in the past, now he looks a bit weird. and therefore darvish yu is now the new baseball media darling in japan:


Darvish Yu; i heard he didnt want to go play in the majors, but i think he should, probably in a few years after his family sort of settles down. then this way people can really see if he is suited for even higher level of play.

and i really do think baseball uniforms make guys look very cool. =) that reminds me, chor!! ROOKIES the movie is out in japan, im hoping against hope it comes out here. same cast plus a few extra new people. ooooh rookies.

曲:Back for Good - Take That

its June, people! oh my god time's passing too fast. all of a sudden, half a year's passed, 2009 has reached its midpoint. kind of apprehensive, no? goodness, it's kind of scary to me, that you really dont notice time till it's gone by. in a flash, it'll be christmas, and then 2010. 2010's kind of exciting though, with YOG and everything. somehow it makes me feel that my future, the future that ive been thinking of, will arrive sooner than i expect.

need to read a few good books; have been trying to read the bourne ultimatum, but its kind of hard to read, unlike tom clancy. i like straightforward secret agent stuff in books, leave the double and triple agents to the movies. haha. i want to know who's the bad guy and who's the good guy when im reading.

heard Vikas Swarup has a good book in Six Suspects; havent read his Q & A yet though, so ill probably tackle those this hols. btw, the new layout is rather like the old one, but i thought we could go a bit more subdued this time round. haha.
